“Boleros, Bebop and Bossas”

Mimi Snider + Quartet with Nick Apivor (vibraphone, percussion), Boris Favre (piano), Brent Gubbels (bass), and Chris Haas (drums) and Special Guests

Mimi invited and organized two sets of duets with her vocalist friends (some sang solo) to reunite with them after several years of not seeing them, to be able to hear them live, up close and personal.

The night of music was expressed through a special reunion of many voices and hearts, some of which there had been no videos for.  And not everyone could attend.  But the memory lives on in the heart and soul.

The following vocalists are presented in this film as duets with Mimi Snider in the following order:  LJ Mountenay, Suki Saggu, Pressley Ellese Murillo, Laura Crema, Harrison Ivaz.

However, there were many others who joined on stage to be a part of this very special evening who didn't make it into this video compilation below due to there not being a video, or poor sound quality:  Deborah Dowhaniuk, Lorraine Foster,  Armi Grano, Deborah Ledon,  Alannah Lori, Nancy Newman, Paul Snider, Heather Soles, and

“We Three Queens”

Kate Hammett-Vaughan, Karin Plato and Jennifer Scott

Sadly, this would be the last time Mimi would see and hear Kate Hammett-Vaughan.

2024 - 2026 Liane Fainsinger Jazz Jam

Liane Fainsinger (vocals and keys),

Michael Kawabe (drums), Gordon Mowat (bass)

“The Shadow of Your Smile” (La Sombra de Tu Amor") performed September 2026 as a dedication to Kate-Hammet Vaughan who taught Mimi so much while in Vancouver, and Cassandra Wilson who Mimi had also learned so much from by listening to hear albums over the years. Mimi learned to understand how they sculpted sound waves and tried to honour them here in this way.
